Background for Writing "Bronze Age History of Greece"
The circumstances that led me to write the history of Bronze Age Greece are as follows.
I developed an application that represents human connections using Nodes and Arcs.
Using that application, I created a genealogy of people who appear in ancient Greek folklore.
In the process of creating the genealogy, a question arose.
I researched many folklore accounts and resolved the question.
I posted about that situation on social media.
Gradually, the history of Bronze Age Greece began to emerge.
When I shared the history of the Boeotian region on social media, I received a lot of attention.
I wrote about the history of other regions of Greece and the genealogies of each tribe, and shared them on social media.
Research on the Genealogy of Ancient Greeks
Heinrich Schliemann proved the existence of Troy, described in Homer's epics, through archaeological excavations.
I explored historical facts by investigating the genealogies of figures appearing in Greek mythology and wrote the history of Bronze Age Greece.
While most of Greek mythology is fictional, it contains a small amount of historical truth.
Most of this scant historical truth lies within the genealogies of the figures appearing in the myths.
By connecting these genealogies without contradiction, historical facts became visible.
Until now, Bronze Age Greek traditions were recognized as myths, believed to contain no historical truth.
I believe that by studying the genealogies and the historical facts in the myths, we can explore the history of Greece of an era older than the Dark Ages.
The genealogy of ancient Greeks I have compiled connects over 3,000 individuals.
Ancient Greece is the only ancient civilization capable of connecting so many people and creating such a genealogy.
I am convinced that in Bronze Age Greece, there existed a single genius who meticulously researched the genealogies of its people.
Factors that made the research possible
The great scientist Isaac Newton estimated and described the chronology of the Trojan War and earlier events in his work The Chronology of Ancient Kingdoms Amended (1728).
However, his estimation method was not scientific; it remained within the realm of conjecture based on ancient traditions.
I scientifically estimated the chronology by creating a genealogy chart with the most reliable Athenian royal lineages as the vertical axis and their contemporaries as the horizontal axis.
The following factors primarily enabled the creation of genealogies:
1 Utilization of Application Software
During the genealogy creation process, I enhanced the search functionality of the application software and added other necessary features.
2 Advances in Information Disclosure
In recent years, information disclosure has progressed, making many ancient documents available for viewing on the internet.
3 Advancements in Translation Technology
Technological progress now allows information written in languages other than Japanese to be translated into Japanese for viewing.
